Olly Whitehead is a theatre practitioner from the East Midlands, working across the UK.
​
Olly has worked on a variety of shows, in various roles ranging from Lighting Designer & Programmer, through to Lighting Technician & Production Electrician.
​
Whilst working mainly in the theatrical world, Olly has ventured into other fields such as Corporate & Live Events and is always on the lookout for his next challenge.
​
Olly holds a Level 2 Diploma in Production Arts (Technical) which he has gained at BOA Stage and Screen Academy, Birmingham. Olly is also a proud member of the ALPD.
​
Olly's started his Technical Theatre career doing work experience and volunteering his time at amateur groups and local theatre venues. His career soon developed when he completed his first run of a commercial pantomime at Loughborough Town Hall. Since then he has worked a range of productions in venues across the Midlands and beyond. Olly is also completing a two year course at BOA Stage and Screen Academy, finishing in Summer 2025 with an Extended Diploma in Technical Theatre and Live Events.

Olly's main specialism within lighting is programming. He has an extensive knowledge of ETC consoles & Eos Software. Despite this he will not shy away from designing and will take on this creative role for any production bringing visions to life. Olly also has expertise carrying out Lighting Technician roles and overseeing productions as a Production Electrician.​
